The Customer Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact between the company and assigned customers, ensuring exceptional service and long-term relationship management. This role is responsible for coordinating customer requirements across internal teams—including operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain—to ensure accurate order fulfillment, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction. The Customer Account Manager plays a key role in supporting business growth while maintaining strong customer partnerships.
Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned customer accounts
Manage customer orders from receipt through delivery, ensuring accuracy and on-time performance
Communicate customer requirements clearly to internal teams, including Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain
Monitor order status, production schedules, and inventory to proactively address issues or delays
Respond promptly to customer inquiries related to orders, pricing, delivery, and product information
Coordinate resolution of customer issues, including delivery concerns, quality issues, and corrective actions
Support quoting activities, pricing updates, and contract or forecast management as required
Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, and order data within ERP and CRM systems
Participate in customer meetings, reviews, and performance discussions
Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, internal processes, and account growth
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of customer account management, customer service, or sales support experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain processes, and order management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience supporting automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing customers
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement concepts
Experience working with customers located in Michigan or the Midwest region
