The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role supports daily production activities while ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship. The CNC Machinist works in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Set up, operate, and adjust CNC machines, including mills and/or lathes
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions
Load programs, set tooling, and establish work offsets and machine parameters
Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy
Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments
Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programs, or machine performance
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized
Document production activities and maintain accurate records
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred
Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with CNC mills and/or lathes; multi-axis experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar CNC controls
Experience machining tight-tolerance or complex components
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Willingness to work overtime or alternative shifts as needed
