SUMMARY

 

The HR Generalist – Warehouse Operations supports the day-to-day human resources functions within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This individual is responsible for recruiting, employee relations, performance management and supporting a safe and productive workplace. In addition, this role in responsible for managing the OSHA program, operational sustainability and social compliance initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

 

  • Serve as main point of contact for HR related questions or concerns
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations matters in a fair and consistent manner
  • Field HR inbox daily to answer employee inquiries and/or forward to appropriate individual
  • Coordinate full lifecycle recruitment for warehouse staff
  • Manage temporary staffing needs, reconciling all timecards, invoices and generate reports as needed
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Support performance review processes and documentation
  • Partner with supervisors on coaching and development plans
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding process
  • Review and provide approval for all Midway GA timecards for bi-weekly payroll processing;
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve interdepartmental relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
  • Support all requirements related to Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS), Global Recycling Standards (GRS) and Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) including but not limited to trainings, living wage analysis and policy updates
  • Manage annual OSHA 300 process with external OSHA consultant
  • Maintain OSHA 300 Logs, safety practices and protocols and maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions for all locations
  • Report any workplace accidents to insurer and provide needed documentation

 

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resources
  • Fluent in English, bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
