Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage the Quality Engineering, Inspection, and Quality Technician teams

  • Ensure customer quality requirements are defined, planned, and executed across purchasing, inspection, and product launch processes

  • Serve as the primary quality point of contact for customers and manage all customer quality communications

  • Collaborate with Programs, Operations, and Engineering to identify quality issues, investigate root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions

  • Analyze quality data to identify trends that negatively impact product quality and drive sustainable improvements

  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, corrective action systems) to resolve quality and production issues

  • Oversee internal and external audits, including customer, regulatory, and third-party audits

  • Act as the AS9100 Management Representative, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System

  • Support supplier quality activities, including qualification, performance monitoring, and corrective actions

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process capability, and production efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+ years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes

  • Demonstrated experience with AS9100 and aerospace or other regulated manufacturing standards

  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including customer-facing interaction

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQM, or equivalent)

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies

  • Experience managing customer audits and supplier quality programs
