The Welder Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and welding metal components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role supports manufacturing operations by producing high-quality welded products while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and workmanship. The Welder Fabricator works independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components as required
Fabricate metal parts and assemblies using prints, work instructions, and specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
Set up and operate welding equipment, tools, and fabrication machinery
Cut, grind, fit, and finish parts to meet dimensional and quality requirements
Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure quality and conformance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company and MIOSHA safety standards
Complete production documentation and follow standard work procedures
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, and productivity
High school diploma or GED required; trade school or welding certification preferred
Minimum of 3 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in MIG welding required; TIG and Stick welding experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and safety practices
Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and squares
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various positions
Willingness to work overtime or alternative shifts as needed
